What is the FFL Transfer Process?
[email protected]2025-10-01T17:04:29-05:00When purchasing a firearm from any online store in the United States, you will need to have the firearm transferred to you.
Step 1 – Find A Local FFL (Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer)
The first step to purchasing a firearm is finding a local FFL. You can find one by using our FFL Locator at checkout. You will need to contact your local FFL and make sure the FFL dealer is willing to conduct the transfer.
Please make sure to ask your local FFL about transfer fees, special rules, and paperwork that may need to be filed. If your local FFL denies transfer we can not send the firearm(s) to that FFL.
Step 2 – Purchase The Firearm
You must purchase the firearm(s) online before the transfer can take place. If you are purchasing from our online store, you will need to ship the firearm(s) to the FFL dealer you’ve found and contacted.
Step 3 – Transfer The Firearm
When the firearm arrives you will go to your selected FFL dealer’s location and start the transfer process. Make sure to take your time filling out the form(s) to avoid common mistakes.
